Friends are asking what a plant-based/vegan, no sugar lifestyle looks like. I am happy to help anyone who wants to try this out to see if they feel better or to help eradicate disease or health problems. Many of you have messaged me and I am more than happy to assist.
I receive maximum protein daily, about 60-70 grams, 50-60 grams of fiber plus all vitamins and minerals. My fat intake is less than 4 grams and it is the healthy fat from foods like avocado. I don’t consume cholesterol since I don’t eat any animal products. There are only a couple frozen items I will eat since most frozen goods are loaded with sodium, which I stay away from. I consume about 1300 calories per day plus I run 3-5 miles six days a week. I researched foods for about a year to find the healthiest quality, organic, non-GMO food for my body ranging from teas and coffee to breads and snacks. Each food I eat serves a nutritional purpose whether it’s for iodine, B vitamins, or potassium.
Health today is focused on treating disease, health ailments, and prescribing medication rather than using diet as prevention. As people age and start to feel the effects of years worth of poor eating habits, gained weight, heart conditions, diabetes....a change in diet must be made. Change is hard and it’s always easier to get fast food, but I chose three years ago that I’d fuel my body and prevent sickness and disease.
As Hippocrates said: Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.
